Homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette

Oil, vinegar and rosemaryYou never know what you’re going to get when you buy salad dressing at the grocery store. There are some great brands, but there are a lot of not-so-great brands too. You may be surprised by what you see when you read the label on your salad dressing, so your best bet is to make your own. It’s quick and super SIMPLE! With that being said, here is a recipe for a homemade balsamic vinaigrette.

Ingredients

6 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1 tsp. raw honey (or pure maple syrup)

2 tsp. Dijon mustard

6 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil

Directions

You have several options. I personally take all ingredients and mix in our small, personal blender. If you don’t have a small blender, you can combine all ingredients (except for the olive oil) in a medium bowl and whisk. Slowly add oil while whisking; mix well.

This can be used as a salad dressing, but is also good with sauteed veggies, fish, grilled chicken or beef.

Side Note! Store the dressing in your refrigerator for up to 1 week. If dressing thickens, pull dressing out of refrigerator 3o minutes prior to serving. Stir before serving. Enjoy!
